Dr. Thompson has dedicated his career to advancing engineering and materials science, consistently striving to improve our world through rigorous research, testing, and investigation.
He now invites you to experience his latest endeavor: the Symphony of Elements Exhibition at the Sloss Furnace Visitors Center. This unique exhibition showcases the fascinating microscopic world of metals that shape our daily lives.

Dr. Thompson will be personally hosting casual Q&A sessions during lunch breaks.
This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with Dr. Thompson, learn about his visionary work, and explore an exhibition that reflects his lifelong passion and expertise in metallurgy and materials science. All ages are welcome to attend.
You are welcome to bring your own lunch, or support the Non-Profit Foundation by placing a carryout order from The Electric East – we will pick it up and have it ready for you at Sloss*.
We encourage you to come out and support Dr. Thompson in this remarkable public and private endeavor. The exhibit will be free and open to the public through the end of August anytime the Sloss Furnace Visitors Center is open.
