Discover Raasay’s island whisky—lightly peated, fruity, and full of Hebridean character.
Isle of Raasay Distillery is the first legal whisky distillery on the remote Hebridean island of Raasay, founded in 2014 and distilling since 2017. Drawing on centuries of illicit distilling tradition, every drop is distilled, matured, bottled, and shipped directly from the island. Their signature single malt is lightly peated and matured in a mix of rye, Chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine casks—creating a bold yet balanced dram with soft smoke and rich, fruity depth.
Your host, Scott Fraser , is the US Commercial Manager and a long-time whisky enthusiast. He joined Raasay in 2019 and quickly climbed the ranks, moving from Sales Planner to UK Trade Manager, before taking on his current role strengthening ties between the UK and US whisky scenes. Before Raasay, Scott brought the magic of Scotch to fans through roles at Glen Ord and Tomatin distilleries. And if that’s not adventurous enough—he once spent four years in New Zealand and Australia as a bungee jumping site supervisor. So yes, he takes his whisky seriously… but never himself.
