CLINIC TO COMPETITION - BRITISH WORKING EQUITATION TRAINING COMPETITION
Organised by LegUp Equestrian/Carolyn Goldstraw Association British Working Equitation approved Instructor. At Bromley Farm, S35 7EW.

The choice is yours. Come along and have a go at all three phases of Working Equitation or attend the Clear round Ease of Handling/Speed Round section.
# Dressage test - Association of British Working Equitation have their own dressage tests these can be found on the website www.abweofficial.co.uk you will have a choice of the Walk trot test or Novice test. You will receive a comments/score sheet.
## Obstacles Ease of Handling - scored on style and your ability to complete the obstacles as per Association of British Working Equitation standards. There will be a group course walk first to give you tips on how to ride the course and ask any questions. It is recommended you have attended at least one training session with an ABWE instructor. You will receive a comments/score sheet.
### Obstacles Speed - Go as fast (or as slow) as you like. Group course walk tips will help you to understand how to tackle this phase.
Carolyn Goldstraw Association British Working Equitation Level One approved Instructor will judge the 3 phases on this day, as well as giving you helpful tips and time to ask questions before tackling the obstacles.
We are expecting most people or horses to be of limited experience, Don’t be shy give it a go. Everyone will be allowed to complete even if they have to miss the odd obstacle or do an adapted version with a few penalty points for doing so. For some of you this may be an ideal stepping stone to competing at a ABWE regional or national competition or simply a chance to put your clinic work to the test.
There will be 5 options available.
Class 1. Walk trot Dressage test Dressage/Obstacles Ease of Handling at Walk and Trot /Obstacles Speed round (any pace.) £35.00
Class 2. Novice Dressage (walk trot canter) / Obstacles Ease of Handling./ Obstacles Speed round £35.00
Any Junior entrants in Class 1 or 2 will be judged separately
Class 3. Clear round Walk Trot Ease of Handling / Obstacles Speed round . 2 rounds. £25.00
Class 4. Clear round Novice Ease of Handling/Obstacles Speed round. 2 rounds £25.00
Class 5. Clear round Lead rein Ease of Handling Obstacles £8.00 per round Rosettes to all.
Class 3-4 Clearround rosettes to all whom successfully complete each obstacle. Plus 1st place rosette to highest % Ease of Handling and fastest Speed round.
Our Venue will be Bromley Farm located 10 minutes from J35a/35 off the M1 between Sheffield and Barnsley. There will be plenty of parking for vehicles, indoor and out door arenas and a café open. If weather is kind we will run the dressage phase indoor and obstacles outdoor.
How the Day will Run.
Class 1 and 2 Dressage phase will be first (indoor.)
Followed by a group course walk for both Ease of Handling and the Speed phase for those in class 1 and 2 (which will hopefully run outdoors.)
Riders will ride their EOH obstacles round followed by their speed round approx. 5 to 7 minutes later. This will help to make the day shorter. Awards and sheets will then be given out to complete the day. Or can be posted on to you.
Class 3,4 and 5 There will then be another group course walk explaining the EOH and Speed course with tips and your chance to ask questions before you give it a go. Awards and sheets will then be given out or can be posted to you.

To enter please state competitor name, which class and payment in full to be sent to reserve your place.
If you need to cancel up to 7th May all payments will be returned. Cancellation after 7th May will incur full charge unless your place can be refilled.
