Manchester by the Sea

This year is the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of Art House Billings, and we are celebrating all year long with a monthly screening of a special film that has left an impact on us and our community! For the month of July, we are beyond excited to be bringing back Kenneth Lonergan's astounding 2016 drama, MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, which will be playing at Art House Cinema and Pub Sunday, July 27th!
A film that makes for a masterful example of a quality 21st century drama, MANCHESTER BY THE SEA is a down-to-earth gut punch of a story starring Casey Affleck at his absolute best. With beautiful cinematography covered in a muted sea-side palette, this film tells a heavy story of grief and coming to terms with the past that you will never forget!
When his older brother passes away, unhappy relative Lee Chandler must return home and care for his 16-year-old nephew Patrick. Back home, Lee is compelled to face aspects of his past that made him leave home in the first place while pessimistically doing his best to be a good guardian for Patrick, rather than an emotionally damaged figure of burden.
