Richard Townend is a highly accomplished singer-songwriter guitarist with an impressive career in the music industry. Having started his professional journey directly from Leeds College of Music, he initially played for various acts, showcasing his talent with artists like Ronnie Corbett, Dana, The Platters, and Tony Christie, amongst others. After taking a hiatus of about 20 years, Townend experienced a transformative moment at a jam session in 2008, reigniting his passion for music. This led to the release of his first album in 2011, and the formation of The Mighty BossCats, marking the beginning of a prolific phase where he has written over 270 songs & 15 albums. His work has received critical acclaim, resulting in numerous award nominations for both his songs and albums.
