Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Director's Cut)

Beam yourself to the Drexel Theatre where you’ll grab your popcorn and catch a special showing of the director’s cut version of the original Star Trek: The Motion Picture on June 10. The screening is presented in collaboration with the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio’s "Star Trek & Worlds Beyond" exhibition, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience the film alongside an extraordinary display of original props, costumes, and artifacts from the franchise. The director’s cut of the original Star Trek: The Motion Picture offers a remastered, more immersive version of the 1979 sci-fi classic, with enhanced visual effects and refined pacing that bring Gene Roddenberry’s visionary universe into sharper focus.

Stick around afterward for a panel discussion with five-time Eisner-nominated cartoonist Ben Towle, local historian Tom Betti, and author of "It Rhymes With Takei" Justin Eisinger. Among the topics they’ll discuss are the top Star Trek episodes and what makes them legendary!
