Bike Bus #4

Hey Paul Norton students! Pump up those tires and dust off those helmets, the Bike Bus is back!!!

This coming Friday, May 2nd, we are organizing a morning bike ride to school for Paul Norton students. Parents are welcome to join!

The ride will start at the parking lot of Coffee Apothecary [2571 53rd Ave Bettendorf]. Leaving promptly at 755am. We will then head down 18th where riders can join the bike bus as we go past their street. Our first stop will be at Crow Creek Rd (~800am) where other riders can hop on. Here we will safely use the cross walk to cross the street. Parent volunteers will assist with this and ensure traffic has come to a stop. We will then continue down 18th to Tanglefoot Lane to our 2nd bus stop (~805am) where we will briefly stop for other riders to join and catch up. Riders will then head up Tanglefoot Ln to Greenbrier Dr to our 3rd stop (~810am). Again all riders are encouraged to join the bike bus as we ride past their street. Once riders turn down Greenbrier Dr, they will then head to the Kiwanis Park shelter for a quick meet up (~815am). Students will then use the school crosswalk to head to school and get their bikes parked.

After school, the parent volunteers plan to meet students at the Kiwanis shelter to ride the route in reverse so students can get home safely. We will leave at 345pm.

At each meet up, morning and afternoon, safe riding rules will be discussed before leaving.
