About the event

Community ROCKS: Celebrating 5 Years of Science & Discovery
As a thank you to the community for all of your support over the past five years, we are throwing a 5th Year Anniversary Celebration!

FREE ADMISSION all day on Saturday, July 19th (and FREE for Mainers on Sunday too!).

Join us for a fun-filled day of discovery and celebration at the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum including interactive activities, Q&A with experts, a vendor fair and tent sale. This is the perfect event for families, rockhounds, budding scientists, and anyone fascinated by the wonders of our planet and beyond. Food and drinks will be available from the Masonic Hall burgers, and hot dogs available for purchase ($10 per meal).

To celebrate our 5th birthday, we’re doing a special membership push where we’ll enter every new member to win a piece of jewelry or a moon/mars rock! LINK HERE
