What's better than a cool evening and a warm bowl of chili, while listening to good 'ol stories from the woods?
Get your best kept AND best shared stories from the woods warmed up for this day!
We are excited to host a chili cook off, as participants cook live and we broadcast to our Facebook Page.
We will offer this as a fundraiser for market as well!
Regular Vendors will be set up as well as various Pop-Up Vendors with more products and resources for hunting, fishing, foraging, providing, and more!
CHILI CONTESTANTS:

Cooking will be on site, so you will need to be prepared with various supplies.
Suggestions:
Table. Electric Griddle and Crock Pots, or Propane Powered Stove with Pot or Skillet or similar. (We will have power outlets available.)
Bring your own cooking supplies and ingredients.
Health Department Requirements for EACH Contestant:
(This could potentially be one table.)
Hand Washing Station: Large Gatorade Push Spout dispenser filled with water, a 5-gal bucket to catch the water, and hand soap.
3 Compartment Sanitation Tubs for Sanitizing cooking Supplies: one for washing, one for soaking in bleach water, and one for rinse/drying.
- The above is commonly required and requested at cook offs and is the only way we can provide food to the public, in an outdoor setting. Also, for multiple contestants.
And we want the outdoor atmosphere for this event, it will be cozy!
If you have any questions or need help with different supplies/ideas, contact the Carroll County Health Department and ask for Amanda Hittle!
ALSO, for your great lengths to help keep your outdoor cooking station up to Health Department Code, we will award additional prizes for 'Best Kept Code' and similar!
