Learn How to Play the Ukelele

Learn how to play the ukulele with Julie. This one hour program covers the basics (tuning, strumming and fretting) as well as reading chord diagrams and tablature. Ukuleles provided or bring your own. This program is open to adults, teens, and children ages 10+.

About the Presenter

Julie Stepanek Murray has been teaching ukulele at libraries for the past fifteen years. Originally from Nebraska, she now makes her home in a pine forest north of Amherst, Massachusetts.
