Thomas Stevens Berkhamsted Ride
Meet in St. John's Well Lane car park, Berkhamsted, Herts, HP4 1HA. Arrive 10.30 for 11.00am kick off. Parking is £5 for up to 6 hours. Make sure you park in the long stay spaces, not the short stay ones. We'll visit a couple of places in the town that are relevant to Thomas, plus perhaps one or two other historically interesting sites, before heading out of town. We'll stop for lunch in a nice pub, and from there head to another pub for afternoon refreshments in a pretty village, before returning to the start. Total distance is 23 miles, with 660 feet of ascent, but no steep hills
