M’sippi Slide Brings Vintage Soul & Blues Back to the Stage.
San Jose-based band M’sippi Slide, led by powerhouse vocalist Lijah, is reviving the golden era of Blues, R&B, and Soul with a sound that’s raw, emotional, and impossible to ignore. Inspired by legends like Aretha Franklin and Etta James, Lijah’s dynamic vocals are backed by top South Bay musicians: Johnny Cat Soubrand (guitar), Ryan Ward (guitar), Frank DeRose (bass), and Scotty Griffin (drums).
Formed in 2023, the band has quickly made its mark with their debut album Intersection, currently featured on KPFA, KSCU, and KKUP. Their performances at the Fountain Blues Festival and Levitt Pavilion 2025 have earned them a reputation as a must-see live act.
For fans of classic American music with a fresh, soulful twist—M’sippi Slide is one band you don’t want to miss.
Tickets are $25 general admission. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.
Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
