The event with UC Berkeley Executive Fellow in Applied Technology Policy Jenny Toomey, former Director of the Ford Foundation Catalyst fund and co-founder of the Future of Music Coalition and Simple Machines Records, will highlight ways in which working musicians and other artists can retain agency and fight for adequate compensation while navigating an evolving industry dominated by digital technologies and streaming services.
