For Berkeley Manufacturing Week 2025, the City of Berkeley Office of Economic Development (OED) is excited to announce a tour of Berkeley-based Artworks Foundry.
Founded in 1976 by Italian builder Piero Mussi, Artworks Foundry is one of the nation’s leading foundries for the production and restoration of bronze sculptures, reliefs, and monuments. This event will take you on a tour of their space and will showcase their manufacturing process.
During the tour, attendees will see the 12 stages of operation of lost wax casting, see how a sculpture is transformed from clay to metal, and walk through their metal shop, gaining a better understanding of their story.
The tour will be limited to a group of 20, so get your tickets early!
