Homeless In Bergenfield

The June 1st 10am Worship at Clinton Avenue Reformed Church will acknowledge the 35th Anniversary of their Church’s Ministry to the Bergen County Homeless population. In 1990, along with their ECUMENICAL partners at the South Presbyterian Church both Clinton Avenue Reformed and South Presbyterian Churches served as Founding Members of the ministry that was then called the Inter-religious Fellowship for the Homeless. In the 35 years that have followed the founding of this ministry, which is now known as “THE FAMILY PROMISE MINISTRY” Clinton Avenue has continued to serve in the ministry for the Homeless of Bergen County. Now, at Clinton Avenue and other Bergen County Churches, there is a great need for Volunteers who can serve in this ministry. With that need for new volunteers in mind, on Sunday June 1st, at their 10am Worship,in addition to celebrating that 35th Anniversary of their participation in Homeless Ministry the CLINTON AVENUE CHURCH will be hosting a Training Session for people interested in Ministry for the Homeless at 11am in the Church’s Fellowship Hall. CARC is located at the corner of Clinton Avenue and James Street, one block east of Washington Avenue. The Church is handicap friendly with an Elevator located adjacent to their Parking Lot, which makes access to 3 of the four levels, including the level where the meeting will be held, completely barrier free.
