The Art Academy of the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD) at the University of Bergen invites you to the Bachelor of Fine Art Graduation Exhibition 2025, titled Around 40 Individual Artists.
We welcome you to the greatest exhibition in the history of the Art Academy — at least in terms of the number of graduating students. This year’s exhibition presents the work of forty-six students, or around 40 individual artists. As students, we are united by the randomness of being assigned to the same year, in the same education, at the same time. Coming together as a class, the exhibition reflects thoughts and conversations that have arisen over the past three years.
While each project is deeply personal, themes such as collectivity, memory, and our relationship to the world around us reoccur across our works. Central questions have been: How can we relate to the world around us? And to what extent are we allowed to bring the outside world into the institution? Many of the works reflect this in their site specificity — directly engaging with the architecture and atmosphere of the Art Academy and of KMD.
Spread around the KMD building, Around 40 Individual Artists is an exhibition that really wants to be seen: inside, outside, downstairs, upstairs — every place you are able to enter without a keycard, you will see the exhibition expand. You really want to be there!
