BATS presents 'Brief Encounter'

BATS presents 'Brief Encounter'. A play version of the well known film. Weds 2nd to Sat 5th July at Brantham Village Hall. Tickets available from www.batsonline.co.uk or from Guys and Dolls hair salon, Acacia Ct Brantham.

Brief Encounter tells the story of two married strangers living in pre-World War II England, whose chance meeting at a railway station leads to a brief yet intense emotional affair disrupting their otherwise conventional lives.
Running in parallel, the relationship of cheeky Station Master Albert and brisk tongued Buffet Manager Myrtle Bagot, creates a comedic and gentile contrast to the intensity of Alec and Laura’s relationship.
Intertwined throughout, young love blossoms between the Stanley and Beryl the station buffet staff.
A classic tale of New, Old and Forbidden love that is sure to bring a tear to the eye .
