Join us for a week-long work party (Aug. 19, 20, 22, 23, 24--Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun) to clear the Mason Pastures of mesquite seedlings. Let's see how much we accomplish in a Mesquite-A-Thon. Enter through the double gray gate between mileposts 18 and 19. Head to Pasture 3, straight ahead and a little to the right.
There is work suitable for most physical abilities. You can use tree pullers on small to medium seedlings, dig out larger saplings with shovels, or pull small sprouts with pliers.
BRING: Water and Gloves! Long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy shoes suggested. We provide tools, but we could use a few extra shovels and a couple small pruning saws.
T-SHIRTS and TREATS: All participants get a free T-shirt! And we plan to have treats at the end of each day.
