Local favorites Highwire play a special going away party for Santa Cruz Mountains tree professional Bruce Baker and his wife, equine advocate Kimberle Baker at Henflings Tavern on Friday, May 30. The party starts at 7:00, rockin' blues and tasty jams from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. 🎶💃🕺 Come lift a pint to Bruce and Kim and wish them well on their retirement and new digs in Oregon!

Highwire is a rock and blues cover band that got its start in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Featuring founding members Vito Detorrre, Dan Odom, and Tim Houchin, they like to say "there's a fine line between rock and blues where we balance ourselves between the two."

Kimberle said, “Bruce and I have lived in Santa Cruz, Felton, Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, and immersed ourselves in the beautiful land of Brookdale for the past 20+ years.” A retired Class-A truck driver and massage therapist, Kim is active caring for elder and neglected equines with Pregnant Mare Rescue, Equine Craniosacral Therapy, and other groups. She has already connected with the local horse scene near their new home."
