On the Shoulders of Giants: Pittsburgh Steel Industry Families during The Gilded Age

There is no doubt that the "heyday" of the steel industry fell squarely within The Gilded Age. During The Gilded Age, Pittsburgh was home to many steel industry titans and their families. Many of these families, including the Joneses (Jones and Laughlin) resided in Sewickley Heights on vast estates. Lecturer, Tim Appleton, will describe the lifestyles of these titans and their families during The Gilded Age on Tuesday, August 12th.
