Honoring the Past, Celebrating Progress: Join the Upcoming “Pride in Every Drop” Blood Drive

For too long, members of the LGBTQIA community were excluded from donating blood—not because of who we were, but because of outdated policies rooted in fear. That exclusion left deep wounds.

Today, we honor that history while celebrating a powerful shift: the American Red Cross has adopted new guidelines that treat all donors with dignity, focusing on individual risk factors—not identities.

We are proud to support an upcoming blood drive hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bell County and the American Red Cross. This is more than a call for donations—it's a moment of visibility, healing, and hope.
