Dear friends and family,
As you may or may not know, Bryant and I have been struggling to start a family for almost three years now. It’s something we dreamed of from the very beginning — we got married in October of 2022 and knew we wanted to start our family right away. However, we never imagined the road would be this hard. In April of 2023, we were overjoyed to find out we were expecting — only to suffer our first miscarriage at 11 weeks. A few months later, in August, I became pregnant again, but this time it was a blighted ovum. Our second loss. Then in December, we experienced a chemical pregnancy — our third loss in less than a year. Each time we got our hopes up, only to have them crushed.
The emotional toll of repeated pregnancy loss is something we wouldn’t wish on anyone. After the third loss, we knew we needed answers. My OB ran a series of tests and discovered that I have a condition called antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), a blood-clotting disorder that can cause early miscarriages. The good news: APS is treatable — with daily injections during pregnancy. The diagnosis brought a sense of relief and hope. Finally, we had an explanation. In August of 2024, we began fertility treatment with Blue Sky Fertility Clinic. Since then, we’ve completed nearly every test imaginable and tried four rounds of IUI, all of which, unfortunately, were unsuccessful. Now, we are turning to IVF — our last and best chance to finally grow the family we’ve longed for.
IVF is a physically, emotionally, and financially demanding journey. And while we’ve tried to shoulder the weight of this process ourselves, the costs have quickly become overwhelming. That’s why we are humbly asking for help. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing our story, or simply keeping us in your thoughts and prayers — we are so grateful for your support. We are hopeful. We are holding on tightly to the belief that with answers, treatment, and the support of our incredible community, we’ll one day welcome a happy, healthy baby into the world.
Thank you for being part of our journey — and for giving us strength, love, and hope.
With heartfelt gratitude, Briana & Bryant
