Taking time out to raise a family is one of life’s most important jobs but returning to work afterwards can feel overwhelming, emotional and guilt-ridden.
That’s why we’re hosting “Managing Mum Guilt”, a candid and empowering morning designed specifically for women who are juggling work with being a parent or looking to return to work after parental/maternity leave.
Join us for coffee, connection and conversation as three inspiring women share their personal stories of transition, challenge and growth, and of course, provide insight and wisdom into how they navigate ‘mum guilt’!
Meet our speakers!
👩💼 Lorraine Acheson, Managing Director of Women in Business and mum of four (ages 8–18) – juggling leadership, a busy home life and challenging the idea of ‘having it all’.
👩💼 Sarah Balmforth, A former HR Director on a career pause and mum of two (ages 6 and 8) – currently reassessing what’s next while loving the dedicated time and freedom to parent her two children.
👩💼 Fiona McCartan, Self-employed mum of two (ages 1 and 5) and Content Creator – who made the leap to self-employment after maternity leave to find the balance both she and her family needed!
Together, we’ll explore the topic of “mum guilt,” how it shows up, what fuels it, and how to manage it without letting it define your career path and ambitions.
