Kenya Hall @ Underground Lounge

The Underground Lounge is thrilled to present Portland-based soul vocalist Kenya Hall, with band members Dan Boyden, Tyler Quist and Kyle Friday, live in concert on Saturday, March 14th at 7:00 PM. The Underground Lounge is located at 17 Court Street in Belfast, just under the Basil Burwell Community Theatre.

Since arriving in Maine from Ohio in 2001, Hall has carved out a reputation throughout the region for her dynamic blend of soul, funk, and R&B, weaving heartfelt songwriting with commanding vocals that resonate with audiences. Dubbed “a soul powerhouse” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Kenya Hall is as one-of-a-kind as it gets. Her musical artistry weaves together indomitable vocals with a fierce blend of soul and funk delivered with a rare energy that leaves every audience she sings to better for having been a part of it. The Underground Lounge is Belfast’s volunteer-led DIY music series, bringing Maine-based and regional talent to the stage through the long off-season. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music begins at 7:00pm. Admission is $10-$20 (cash only at the door), and food and beverages will be available by donation.
