An original musical by Etta Hughes and Carolyn Phelps Scholz
Affectionately described by the writers as “Romeo and Juliet, but with lumberjacks and woods nymphs,” this folk musical follows environmental and anti-war themes—turning what could have been another classic love story into a poignant and tragic parable.
Although the show is being produced independently, the Belfast Maskers enthusiastically support this production.
The musical will be performed by a talented cast of Etta Hughes, Malaya Moores, Armonie Cohen-Solal, Ava Trout, Allison Pyo, Neal Jacobs, Robyn Tarantino, Sarah Wilcox-Hughes, Jack Conway, Isla Hughes, and Miah Caron. Some of the performers were involved in the original production, while others will bring a fresh take to the musical. The production will also be a fundraiser to help Upstream Watch buy and protect the area at the mouth of the Little River, supporting both public access and the preservation of critical natural habitat.
Performances will be nightly at 7pm on August 15, 16, 22, and 23 with matinees on August 17 and 24 at 2pm. Tickets will be $15 /adults and $12/children. Tickets go on sale July 11th on
