Block Printing From Nature

In this 2-session class participants will use nature as an inspiration to design and carve blocks to create repeating patterns. Each student will use their block to create their own patterned tea towel—a perfect take-home memory from your time in Maine or a gift for a beloved.

Learn how to design a pattern, transfer it to a linoleum block, carve your block, and print on fabric. 2 sessions, Tuesdays August 19 and 26.

About the instructor: Tanya Harsch is a painter and printmaker living in Appleton, Maine. She is known for her whimsical oil paintings and patterned block prints. You can find Tanya at our Art Market on summer Fridays from June - September!
