M**der in the Dollhouse is Rich Cohen's nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a beautiful, rich, suburban mother of five who dropped her kids off at school in New Canaan, Connecticut, one morning in 2019 and vanished. Her body has never been found.
The events and facts of Jennifer Dulos's story have been extensively reported in The New York Times, and theories surrounding the case have been spun and dissected endlessly. Cohen, author of several NYT bestselling nonfiction books, lives just a few miles from where the most tragic events took place. "In reading about [Jennifer], in visiting the places she had been and talking to the people she had known," Cohen writes, "I felt like I was seeing the story of my own generation in a convex mirror."
Katie Couric writes: "In M**der in the Dollhouse, Rich Cohen takes us beyond the tabloid headlines of the Dulos story to chronicle—in devestating detail—the tragic unraveling of a marriage and the shattering of the American dream. With brilliant, razor-sharp writing and deep reporting. . .he proves to be the perfect narrator."
M**der in the Dollhouse was released in May; Kirkus Reviews called it "a scintillating, chillingly compulsive, utterly heartbreaking read."
Cohen is co-creator of the HBO series Vinyl, an Editor at Large for Air Mail, and a columnist for the Wall Street Journal. His stories have been included in The Best American Essays and The Best American Travel Writing.
