🌲Barouk cedars forest hike with LAT
📅Sunday 13th of July to hike in the amazing Barouk Cedar Reserve (Part of Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve and Shouf Biosphere), on an altitude of 1300 m above sea level.
🌲The Barouk Cedar forest is the largest forest in the Shouf Biosphere Reserve covering 400 hectares. The trail boasts a number of fascinating features such as an observation point and a hill lake.
The reserve contains the Lebanon cedar forests of Barouk, Maasser el Shouf and Ain Zhalta-Bmohray. It is an Important Bird Area (IBA) and Eco-tourism area. It hosts 32 species of wild mammals, 200 species of birds, and 500 species of plants.
🍧After the hike we will have a short stop to take ice cream and visit Deir El Qamar before going back to Beirut.
🚌Return back to Beirut around 5pm
🔸Level: moderate
🔸Distance: 8 kms
🔸Altitude: 1300m
🔸 Departure : 8 a.m Dbayeh before Spinneys under Naccache bridge in front of Demerjian center.
🔸And 8:30a.m Furn El Chebbak in front of Burger King.
💰Fees : 20$ (including guide, local guide, transportation by comfortable Pullman, coffee, energy bar and first aid kit but does not include medical insurance)
💲An amount of 5$ will be added to the entrance fees to Barouk cedars Forest.
🚌We can pick up hikers who live on our way!
