It's going to be a big hub this August. Would love you to visit with your family and friends. If you haven't come to a hub yet, this is a great month to experience the community vibes. Bring the kids to play, make some craft or have a sing-a-long with other kids.
Lots of food available including soup, coffee, tea, sweet and savoury treats or BBQ thanks to the Bemboka Community Shed.
Community Talk 11am
Have you ever thought about adding clover, chickweed or dandelion to your salad? Those common weeds are full of nutrients and have an important part to play in the eco-system. Join Kara at 11am to tell us about identifying edible weeds and making them part of your diet.
PLUS Find yourself something interesting from local trash and treasure market sellers. Mikey will have wooden items and succulents for sale as usual.
PLUS Join other car and motorbike enthusiasts for a coffee and chat. All cars and bikes welcome to roll in from 10am.
While you're at the hub...
- Be part of the produce share
Drop your local-grown or foraged veggies, fruit, seedlings, seeds or flowers at the share table and take some shared produce home with you. Bega Valley Seed savers packets will be for sale for $2 each.
- Make music with the Bemboka River Band
You don’t need musical talent - if you can tap, clap, dance, prance, sing or play an instrument then you’re in the band.
Kids are most welcome.
- Get creative in the craft corner
Chat with friends while you work on your current projects. Kids craft table is full of things to keep them amused and have fun with other local kids.
- Talk to local RFS - Be bushfire ready - Wood Raffle Winners will be drawn on the day - buy your tickets until 12.
Discuss burning off, neighbour notifications, weather forecasts, plans for people, animals and houses.
