WUTHERING HEIGHTS DAY 2025
Dig out something red to wear, get ready to channel your inner Cathy or Kate and join us at the Glebe for our first ever Wuthering Heights Day here in Kirkby Lonsdale on Sunday July 27th at 11.00 a.m.
Since 2013, when the first ever Wuthering Heights Day took place in Brighton, thousands of “Cathys” have joined together to celebrate, have fun and dance to Kate Bush’s song “Wuthering Heights” Since then, events have taken place every year across the globe from Australia to the USA and over 70 countries in between and now it’s HERE in Kirkby Lonsdale!
This is a family friendly event and it’s for everyone - old and young, children, women, men - and you don’t have to be a great athlete or dancer - the only requirements are that you wear something red and come along prepared to join in the fun and try your hand at learning the moves to the song.
This is a FREE event but we ask that you book tickets in advance so that we are aware of likely numbers and can do our best to ensure everyone’s safety.
For your safety we have a few rules for the event:

Please feel free to bring your own refreshments/picnics but act responsibly for the welfare and safety of all attendees.
In the unlikely event of severe weather that poses a safety risk we may have to move the event indoors. However, please check the forecast and come prepared for the event of rain as, if at all possible, we intend to hold the event outdoors.
Please note that we will be photographing and videoing the event to promote our future events. If you do not wish to be photographed, that’s not a problem - just inform one of our stewards when you arrive and you’ll be directed to a part of the Glebe where photography will not be allowed.
So, get ready to head to the Glebe near St Mary’s Church where we’ll learn the moves and perform the dance to Kate Bush’s song against the atmospheric backdrop of our local fells. We hope that Emily Bronte would approve!
