the Big Green Well-being Week

Sustainable Arnside are hosting this event along with the Arnside WI. It is a whole village event with lots of FREE talks and workshops happening throughout the week but the busiest day on Saturday the 14th June, which is also FREE of charge, (other happenings posted separately). We are celebrating our ‘Communities Resilience’ and showcasing all that we do as a village ‘in stereo’, by using the Village Hall and the Educational Institute. The Repair Cafe will run from the EI 1000 - 1200hrs with the NHS Harri van outside. A lot of other groups will also be demonstrating what they do here and in the afternoon there will be a young persons ‘Green Space’. Here, our young people will be able to explore the world of moths and the benefits that ‘dark skies’ bring them, this will be done through arts and crafts. As many local groups as possible will gather in both halls to display their wares and explain what they do so well. Giles Archibald, local councillor whose remit is the environment, will open our event at 1030hrs in the Village Hall. Here, we will have a FREE Produce, Plant and Tool swap as well as a FREE fabric swap. A lot of our local groups will be displaying their wares there and Sustainable Arnside will be celebrating the launch of our new website sustainablearnside.org.uk.
