Please register now for our 10th Annual Flag Placement at Sarasota National Cemetery on Saturday, May 24th at 0730. We still need approximately 125 volunteers. This event occurs Rain or Shine.
To register as a Volunteer for Flag Placement, go to www.sarasotawreaths.com - the Home Page is set for Memorial Day 2025. Scroll down, then select "Volunteers Register Here" tab. Then select Sarasota National to complete your registration. To register groups of 5 or more, please contact Meshia at

Complete Volunteer Instructions are posted on our website (carpooling, where to park, what to bring with you). Please download and review prior to registering. All Registered Volunteers are to report to POW MIA Flagpole by 07:30. Flag placement will begin with Families First at 7:50am, then all volunteers begin placing flags as directed at 8am. Our completion time is estimated to be 9:15am.
Please bring a 4-5" Phillips Screwdriver and a small rubber mallet.
Each child under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to receive instruction and a bundle of Flags. The adult must accompany the child to assist with flag placement. This constitutes 1 Registration.

The annual Memorial Day Ceremony sponsored by the Advisory Committee of SNC will be held that morning at 10am. all flag placement volunteers are invited to attend.
