This message serves as a reminder that it is time to register for flag placement at Sarasota National Cemetery on May 24, 2025 and to ask for your help with donations to add to our existing flags and replace flags that were damaged last year.
All of the information you need is at your fingertips - go to www.sarasotawreaths.com. On the home page, you can make DONATIONS online, or retrieve the information as to where to send checks, and REGISTER to volunteer for flag placement, and review the date and time for flag retirement.
Please consider donating now - every dollar amount helps! I do not accept donations of Flags themselves for numerous reasons, including uniformity and questionability of where the flags are manufactured. My Flag order must be placed by May 1 to assure delivery prior to May 24th.
If you wish to register as a volunteer and have a group larger than 5 people attending with you, simply register yourself for the section you desire, then email me the total number of volunteers that you are bringing with you and I will manually update your registration.
Also, keep in mind, the annual memorial day service will be held after Flag placement. I believe the time will be 10am, however, I am awaiting confirmation.
