This year’s 2025 Annual CAPITAL OF TEXAS POSTCARD CLUB ICE CREAM SOCIAL will be held on SATURDAY, JUNE 21st!
No Club meeting this month.
The SOCIAL will last from 1:00 to 5:00 PM - drop by anytime.
The ICE CREAM SOCIAL will be held at the Oak Hill home of Bob and Pat Gray who have been the gracious hosts of this annual event for many years now, off and on – We appreciate their hospitality, they have a good bit of room for us in air-conditioned comfort just a short drive past the “Y” in Oak Hill. Their address is 10101 Hillside North, 78736.
Our tradition is for the Club to provide the ice cream and sodas, and for the members to bring any supplemental goodies they would like to contribute such as toppings, syrups, gooey stuff, snackies, whatever! There should be plenty of everything, so if you can't bring anything don't let that keep you from coming! We would very much like to see you all!
For just about the first time in memory, we have NO CLUB CARDS TO SELL and we have no dealer to visit us to set up shop this go round! (Last year, we sold every single one of our club cards to a visiting dealer… How ironic!) We therefore ENCOURAGE you to bring along any postcards that you would like to sell, trade, or show and tell.
We will also NOT meet during the month of July and will re-convene for our regular monthly meetings beginning Wednesday, August 27th. Have a good summer, and find some postcards in your travels!
