This year’s Christmas production at Beaverton Town Hall Players has a touch of heavenly sparkle! We are delighted to introduce Marilyn, who steps into the role of our joyful and mischievous Christmas Angel.
� Tell us about your role in Home With Bells On.
Marilyn:
You guessed right, I’m playing a Christmas Angel who comes to visit family and friends as they come home and gather in the kitchen for some festive songs and fun.
� Will audiences hear some favourite Christmas songs this year?
Marilyn:
Of course there will be Christmas music! This year’s show, Home With Bells On, will include such favourites as A Wonderful Christmas Time, Meet Me Under The Mistletoe, Frosty The Snowman, and It’s A Marshmallow World.
We also have some new favourites like A Christmas to Remember, Candy Cane Christmas, Cuddle Up and Cozy Down, and A Million Dreams.
And we can’t forget our Christmas sing-along with traditional carols and songs!
� What does the Christmas Angel do in the show?
Marilyn:
My role as the Christmas Angel is to introduce the different sets of songs in the show. This year, each set’s title starts with the letter E, from Enrichment to Ending.
We have to put a smile on everyone’s face and make them giggle, so I will be telling some jokes as well!
� You’ve been with BTHP for a while. What other productions have you done?
Marilyn:
OH NO! I’ve been involved in many productions with BTHP. It all started in 2017 when I was cast in Jitters. More recently, I’ve had roles in The Odd Couple (Female Version), The Savannah Sipping Society, Old School Living, and last year’s Christmas Cabaret.
I have also worked backstage and lighting for a few productions.
� What would you say to someone thinking of joining BTHP?
Marilyn:
Experience is not required! Come join BTHP and bring your enthusiasm, talent, and energy—that is all that is required.
