Prerequisites: Age 18 and up
Description: Through classroom sessions and application exercises, this course addresses the procedures for preparing, assessing, and safe and effective rescue involving elevators. This course is intended for the technician level rescuer to give them the ability to function, accurately, safely, and effectively during rescue incidents involving this mode of public transportation. Topics include: hazard assessment and size-up, resource management considerations, equipment identification, types of emergency responses, patient considerations, extrication procedures, crush syndrome, lockout/tagout procedures, pre-incident planning, and application of techniques and equipment through simulated, integrated exercises.
Cost per student not part of BCFFA - $25.00
