Gifting of the Liberty Tree

A Living Symbol of Freedom is Coming to Beaufort!

Join us on July 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the historic Beaufort Arsenal (713 Craven St.) as the SC250 Charleston Committee presents a Liberty Tree sapling to the Beaufort 250 Committee and the City Beaufort SC.

This sapling—a descendant of the trees that once stood as symbols of resistance during the American Revolution—will serve as a powerful reminder of our shared history as we prepare to celebrate 250 years of American independence.

All are welcome to attend this special ceremony, which will include remarks from local leaders, historical reflections, and a ceremonial handoff.
