While we're still picking out a great selection of books, we're excited to announce that we'll be adding a "Read with a Ranger" activity to our 2025 calendar of events.
Throughout the year, "Read with a Ranger" Programs will take place every third Saturday and Tuesday of the month at 10 am. For more information, please visit our website at www.nps.gov/home or call us at (402) 223-3514
Our calendar of events is as follows:
January 18 and 21 - "Our Great Big Backyard"

This book encourages children, parents, and even grandparents to get outdoors and find your park. The activity planned is to decorate your very own paper ranger hat!
February 15 and 18 - "A Mischief of Mice"
by Christie Matheson
This whodunit has a playful cast of animal groups all joining forces to find out what happened to a missing mischief of mice. The activity planned is to make your very own paper mouse craft!
March 15 and 18 - "The Pumpkin Seed's Secret"
by Hannah Barnaby
As the seasons change, so does one little pumpkin seed, and sometimes in unexpected ways. Discover the amazing secrets one tiny seed holds inside this life cycle story. The activity planned is to make a pumpkin terrarium to take home.
April 15 and 19 - "Poo Pile on the Prairie"
by Amy Hevron
