What started as giving Bayonne residents something to do other than bars, restaurants, gyms, and the park... has now grown to almost 500 adult members in our chess group. We're nearing 100 members in our 'Boardgame Division '. That doesn't include how many kids are involved.
We're pretty much having an event somewhere in Bayonne every day of the week.
Friday is our Joe's Pizza event. We've probably been there forty times by now. We're like the furniture. Comfortable venue to get together, and have fun. The food is great. Reasonably priced. Feel free to join us. All skill levels, all ages can join in. Remember, the chess is free...the venues aren't. Please patronize them.
On Saturdays we head to 'Mom and Pop Shop Collectibles at 185 Broadway from 6pm until 10pm. This is a combo event, where we play both chess, card games, or boardgames. Lately, we've been holding 'The Clash Of The Scrabble Titans'. If you think you're good at Scrabble...now is the chance to PROVE IT. Some really good players have been getting together for Bayonne bragging rights.
Monday evenings, we're at The Vic ..another Combo event. Tuesdays we're at Bruno's Pizzeria from 5pm to 10pm. That's mainly chess. Our chess players congregate at all the venues, but this is where the consistently strongest players tend to gather. The 50% off their delicious food doesn't hurt. :-)
Thursday evenings we're at Bayown's Vendor Market, for yet ANOTHER Combo event. This weekend and next Thursday,... Valentine's Day, we don't have access to the venue. Owner is ill this week. She's holding a Valentine's Day event at the venue.
Players can decide to meet at any of the venues we normally attend.

No one can say there is nothing to do in Bayonne. There is something to do almost every day. Build your mind, concentration, knowledge, have fun, meet people, and just chill. Plenty to do.
