-America's Air Show - The Nation's LARGEST 4th of July Aerial Extravaganza. we'll have THREE FULL DAYS (July 4th, 5th, and 6th) plus a bonus afternoon of civilian air show action that will lead to something truly awesome! (July 3rd)! Get ready to FEEL THE THUNDER as the United States Air Force Thunderbirds take to the West Michigan skies! That's not all though, the US Military is showing up big time with the United States Army Golden Knights, US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet RHINO Demo Team (VFA-106), and US Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team. We'll also have some amazing warbirds here including the Jack Aces P-51 Mustang Formation Team and a 2/3 Scale P-38 Lightning. We also have the BEST Civilian Pilots in the industry performing...and who can forget that we'll LIGHT UP THE AIRFIELD with some amazing pyrotechnical explosions including....THE WALL OF FIRE! One of the Nation's LARGEST Twilight & Night Air Shows will take place on July 5th. This is in addition to our day show so you'll get TWO air shows for the PRICE OF ONE!
As the sun begins to set, we'll take to the skies again for a beautiful "Twilight Air Show". Watch as some of the best pilots in the Nation perform aerobatics against the setting sun.
Once the sun is down, things really start to heat up with an event so amazing and magical that even Walt Disney himself would've been impressed...a NIGHT AIR SHOW WITH PYRO! Bob Seger said it best in his song "Night Moves" and this is truly an event you won't want to miss!
During our night air show, you'll see aircraft with special lights, aerial launched fireworks, wingtip pyro, sparks, smoke, and more! It is truly something that you won't want to miss. If you have never seen one before, now is the time to make those plans!

HOT-AIR BALLOONS: We'll be having daily Hot-Air Balloon Launches (weather permitting). Morning Launches will take place throughout areas in Kalamazoo & Calhoun Counties. These may not necessarily involve the airport (event grounds will NOT be open for morning launches). Evening Launches will either be launches from the airfield or fly-ins. We have opened up additional parking lots this year to help get everyone in quicker along with a new traffic plan! You may access general admission parking off of Helmer Road or off of South Airport Road. VIP Parking is in the Gate 6 lot off South Airport Road (please check your VIP packets).
