A series of outdoor, seasonal dining events immersed in nature, eating under the skies and surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
Experience food bursting with flavour and authenticity, grown and foraged from the ground you walk on. Share seasonal dishes in an ancient forest setting and refresh with a lakeside cocktail infused with botanicals direct from Ewhurst Park. Leave our wilderness filled with a nurtured body, a nourished soul, and a deeper connection to nature.
The Experience
Your adventure begins on entering our ancient woodlands, each step along the path an opportunity to shed everyday worries and digital chatter. As you tune in to the babbling stream, singing birds, and gentle breeze your senses start to reawaken and connect with your surroundings.
In this moment of heightened expectation you arrive at our secluded boathouse and are handed a cocktail. Take time to breathe and savour the gorgeous lakeside views. Reflect and consider that that the soil you walked on fed the gin in your hand, the life around you, and the meal you’re about to taste.
Next, you'll be guided to the outdoor forest feast where communal tables and beautiful glassware meld with gnarled tree trunks and the earth at your feet. Your nourishment will come from food grown alongside nature using methods that sustain and regenerate life.
The Food
Colourful, curated sharing plates balance flavours, textures and immaculate presentation for a food experience like no other. Seasonal ingredients are cooked to perfection; whether slow cooked for mature flavours or so fresh it’s as if they’ve just been pulled from the ground. Meat dishes are cooked on an open fire in front of diners and feature slow grown animals that lived outdoors alongside nature all year round at Ewhurst Park. Vegetables elevated in their taste, quality and nutrition sit alongside forgotten seasonal flavours foraged from the land.
Wine pairings will bring complementary flavours for diners who wish to drink.
The Chef
Albi Ison grew up in Zimbabwe, surrounded by a culture of fresh, seasonal, local food. Originally self-taught, Albi moved to London to hone his craft, working with the Ottolenghi team for over 6 years and diversifying his experience in the multi-cultural melting pot of the capital. He has worked with Ewhurst Park since its inception running farm to table restaurant, The Good Plot, for 4 years alongside a private catering company.
Albi’s food seeks to recreate his roots bringing a sense of effortless seasonality to dishes. Star ingredients are given space to shine in sharing plates that are simply, beautifully, genuine.
