Witch-Crafternoon for Samhain
It’s that time of year when the veil thins, the air crisps, and suddenly everyone remembers they might actually be a witch.
Join us for a Samhain “Witch-Crafternoon” — a day of nature connection (we might talk the trees), gentle candle magic, handmade crafts and drumming, designed for the witch-curious, magic-practicing, or simply autumn-enjoying souls among us.
✨ What’s Brewing:
🪦 Cemetery Nature Walk and Connection
A grounding moment to connect with the turning Wheel of the Year, the significance of Samhain (Halloween) and how it connects us to our ancestors and witchy lineage.
We’ll start with a stroll through Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery, tuning into ancestral whispers, curious crows and nature’s quiet presence. Expect folklore, quiet reflection, and connection on this magical turning of the wheel of the year.
🍁Foraged Crafting Session
Gather sticks, leaves and natural trinkets to create your own pentagram charm or spiderweb talisman — good for protection, decoration, or simply getting your craft on
🕯️Simple Candle Spell
Create a candle spell intention and use herbs and spices to enhance the magic
🥁Drum Circle
Bring a drum, rattle, saucepan lid or simply your hands. Rhythm will be found one way or another! A witch chant may happen (no drumming experience necessary!)
🍎Seasonal Treats
Think cake, mulled cider and sweet goodies
🧙 Who’s Welcome?
Everyone.
All genders, all ages, all belief systems (including “I just came for cake”).
No witchcraft experience required — if you can walk, laugh or hold a stick, you qualify.

🧺 What to Bring
🎟 Tickets
Early Bird (available until 13/10) - £25
Concession - £22
General - £30
If you’re ready to revive your inner wise one — or at least wave politely at her from a distance — then gather your cloak (or coat) and join us.
Book your spot and let the autumn magic begin!
Info: First, we will welcome you into the Cemetery Approach Community Hall where you can drop off your things and get ready for the walk!
Info: Then we will don our cloaks (or coats) and take a peaceful walk through the cemetery across the road. We will find some friendly trees and pause for a moment to connect to nature and learn a little bit about the history of the Green Witch. As a Green Witch would do, we will each find a tree to stand near (maybe hug) and tell it a wish or two.
Info: As any Green Witch would, we will forage around for natural trinkets from the land to add to our crafting activity - find your favourite looking sticks, leave, pine cones and feathers to add to your pentagram charm or spider web talisman!
Info: Then it's back to hall with our natural treasures to begin our crafting of our charms or talisman! Don't worry if you don't feel you are very crafty - instructions (loose!) will be given and then let your hands do the rest of the work! No perfectionism here, just plain old fashioned hand-crafting to get into your flow state!
Info: Take a break from the crafting to move around and bang a drum, shake a rattle or stomp your feet! No experience necessary, as long as your happy to make some loud noises! Singing and songs may magically appear. Think raw, un-hinged energetic release! (Witches cackles encouraged)
Info: Create your very own candle spell using intention and wishes. Learn what herbs and spices can enhance your hopes and dreams and learn how to perform a simple spell to do at home with your candle!
