We are delighted to announce NDA have booked the brilliant Nigel Mason as our July guest artist!
Nigel will be demonstrating his painting techniques and members and non-members are welcome to either watch or join in and paint their own versions of his chosen image ‘ Child on a Beach’.
Following the workshop we will be serving a light buffet lunch and drinks.
In Nigel’s words, "I plan to paint a child on a beach and people can paint with me, or just watch if they want. We’ll be looking at creating movement and atmosphere".
To paint along with me you will need to bring the following:
Canvas board (about 10x12inches)
If you use Acrylics = titanium white, burnt umber, yellow ochre, ultramarine blue, red.
Or Oils = same as above.
Whatever you use as solvent.
Brushes and normal painting kit.
I will be making an acrylic underpainting and finishing in oils and will be breaking the painting down into bite sized pieces- making it clearer to follow.
Feel free to ask questions as we proceed or ask for feedback.
Workshop: 10.30am - 12.30pm (to be followed by a light lunch).
