Mia has firsthand experience with Dyscalculia, a condition that has shaped both her childhood and adult life. Through comedy and music, she explores the insecurities and low self-esteem Dyscalculia has caused, turning her personal struggles into relatable and hilarious anecdotes.

Mia went on to study Performing Arts through Bath University, gaining a First Class Honours, yet she still dreads telling people she hasn’t got a Maths GCSE. She hopes her show will highlight Dyscalculia and increase recognition and understanding of it.

The Dyscalculia Network describes the condition as: a specific and persistent difficulty in understanding numbers. Dyscalculia affects 6% of the population -about four million people- yet it is underdiagnosed, with children less likely to be identified than those with Dyslexia. Backed by The Dyscalculia network, Mia’s show has already played sold-out to audiences across the UK.

Cat Eadle, co-founder of The Dyscalculia Network, praised Mia’s work; “Dyscalculia is sadly under-researched and under-diagnosed, so Mia’s show is doing an incredible job of raising awareness of the condition and helping people feel heard. We can’t wait!”
