Aquarium : Feeding Sharks

Calling all young ocean explorers! Currituck County 4-H is offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo for youth ages 8-14 on July 23rd.

Participants will get a rare opportunity to go beyond the exhibits, explore how the aquarium cares for its marine life, and even help feed the sharks! This unforgettable experience is perfect for kids with a passion for the ocean and a thirst for adventure.

All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2025 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is https://v2.4honline.com/.

There is a registration fee of $37.00. Payment can be made with a credit card via Eventbrite, or cash/check payable to NCSU. Checks and cash can be delivered to the Currituck Extension Office at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917 within 5 days of registration.

Participants will need to meet at the NC Cooperative Extension office in Currituck located at 120 Community Way , Barco 27917, by 9:30 am and travel to Manteo NC, they will return from their day by 3:30pm. Please make sure your child has on closed toe shoes, and bring a bag lunch.
