Beech Mountain Resort to Host Independence Day Celebration Featuring the 54th Annual Hog Roast

Beech Mountain Resort will host its annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 5, featuring the return of the 54th Annual Hog Roast inside the resort lodge. Organized by the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce, the event will serve as a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting local charities.

Tickets for the Hog Roast, which includes food, will be sold directly by the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce, and details on ticket sales will be released closer to the event. Admission to the event is free, and guests are welcome to join the celebration. However, outside beverages are not permitted; the resort’s bars will be open for drinks throughout the evening.

The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m., featuring live music from the Thurston Howell Band, a popular act known for their yacht rock style—a smooth blend of 1970s and '80s soft rock that evokes a laid-back, coastal vibe. DJ Pete Welter will also keep the energy high with additional tunes throughout the event.

Families are invited to enjoy a variety of activities, including inflatables, face painting, and balloon creations by Twist the Balloon Man. A selection of local vendors will be on-site, contributing to the festive atmosphere.

The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display at dusk, offering a spectacular finale to the celebration.
