Tyddyn Teg is an agroecological vegetable farm and workers co-operative nestled on the edge of Eryri National Park with stunning views of the mountains. The farm is community owned and provides a weekly veg box to around 180 customers, a well-stocked farm shop, on site bakery and campsite. The holding is around 32 acres and also has large areas given over to trees and nature. The growing areas are in no dig or low till systems.
The growing areas are split into 3 main sections- The Home field- an intensive outdoor cropping area close to the barn, the Polytunnels that provide year round diversity of crops and the larger scale Field areas for staple crops.
The tour is an opportunity to see the growing areas, talk about the differences in how the areas operate, cultivation techniques, principles and use of machinery. We will also talk about being a workers co-operative, community ownership and the intricacies of growing in the glorious climate of North Wales.
After the tour there is the opportunity to stay for a dinner and social around a fire (weather permitting) suggested donation for dinner £5
Facilities- toilets, tea and coffee (there may be cake), on site parking, covered barn in case of bad weather
