Ymunwch hefo ni yn Storiel ar Awst y 5ed am weithdy hynod ddifyr gyda Harrie Fuller fydd yn cyd fynd hefo’r arddangosfa Dros y Swnt (arddangosfa iw weld 20.09.2025)
Un or dulliau cynharaf a symlaf o ffotograffiaeth ydi cyanotype, a ddyfeiswyd yn 1842. Mae cyanotype yn ddull o ddal delwedd heb gamera sy'n cael ei gyflawni drwy osod gwrthrychau ar bapur sydd wedi'i haenu gyda'r ategyn sensitif i olau. Yna caiff y papur ei ddatgelu i olau UV ac fe'i gollyngir gyda dŵr. Ble mae'r gwrthrych wedi blocio golau, mae'r papur yn parhau'n wyn tra bod yr ardal sydd wedi'i ddatgelu i UV yn troi yn las Prwsiaidd llachar.
Yn ystod preswyliaeth Harrie ar Ynys Enlli, cynhaliodd y gweithdy hwn gan ddefnyddio gwrthrychau a geir o amgylch yr ynys, rhai yn cael eu hel gêl gan y cyfranogwyr a rhai wedi'u casglu'n flaenorol gan yr artist. Yn dibynnu ar y tywydd, cynhelir y gweithdy hwn yn yr awyr agored gan y byddai'n ddelfrydol defnyddio'r UV o'r haul fel yr un datgelu. Os bydd y tywydd yn wael, byddwn yn defnyddio ffynhonnell golau UV amgen. Bydd Harrie yn dod ag gwrthrychau i'w defnyddio, fodd bynnag, mae cyfranwyr yn cael eu hannog i gasglu eu gwrthrychau eu hunain hefyd. Bydd mynychwyr y gweithdy yn mynd adref gyda chyfres o ffotogramau cyanotype ar bapur. Ar y cwrs hwn, mae'r artist yn esbonio ychydig am hanes y broses, esboniwch y gemeg ac yna creu argraffiadau gan ddefnyddio papur wedi'i coatio o flaen.

Mae Harrie Fuller yn artist celf gain a crefftwraig argraffiad sydd wedi ei ysbrydoli gan gasglu gwrthrychau, delweddau a hanesion o fywyd pentrefi ar y glannau. Mae hi'n defnyddio ffotograffiaeth analog, argraffu a phensaernïaeth i droi'r profiadau hyn yn waith celf mân a lliwgar. Bu Harrie yn preswylio ar Ynys Llanddwyn ym mis Gorffennaf 2024.

Join us in Storiel on August the 5th for an interesting workshop with artist Harrie Fuller that will corespont to the exhibition Dros y Swnt (Exhibition displayed until the 20th of September)
Cyanotype, invented in 1842 is one of the earliest and simplest photographic methods. Cyanotype is a camera-less method which is achieved by laying objects onto paper that has been coated with a light sensitive solution. The paper is then exposed to UV light and washed out with water. Where the object has blocked light, the paper remains white whereas the area that has been exposed to UV becomes a bright Prussian blue.
During Harrie’s residency on Ynys Enlli, she ran thisworkshop using objects found around the island, some foraged by participantsand some previously collected by the artist. Weather dependant this workshop isran outside as ideally the UV from the sun is used as the exposure unit. In the event of poor weather, wewill use an alternative UV light source. Harrie will bringin objects to use, however participants are encouraged to collect their ownobjects too. Participants will go home with a variety of cyanotype photograms on paper.
On this course the artist will explain a bit about thehistory of the process, explain the chemistry and then create prints using pre-coated paper.
Beginner level and all ages welcome. Family friendly workshop ,Suitablefor children 8+
Harrie Fuller is a fine artist and printmaker whose practice is informed by gathering objects, imagery and inspiration from daily life and adventures along the coast. She primarily uses analogue photography, print and drawing to translate these experiences into bold, colourful artwork. Harrie did a residency on Bardsey Island in July 2024.
