‘"When Minnie met Katie"– Darlleniad wedi’i ysbrydoli gan weithdy Prosiect Heddwch Aberration

Mae’r awdures a pherfformiwr Jane Hoy yn cyflwyno darlleniad creadigol wedi’i seilio ar weithdy Aberration gyda Norena Shopland, gan gyfuno hanesion go iawn â chymeriadau dychmygol o fenywod mewn ymgyrchoedd heddwch hanesyddol.

Dechreuodd Jane y stori yma mewn gweithdy Peace of Writing yn Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru, Aberystwyth. Roedd pawb yn cael eu hannog i ddod â rhai o’r menywod wnaeth lofnodi’r Ddeiseb Heddwch yn fyw eto. Dewisodd Jane ysgrifennu am ddwy fenyw o’i phentref hi, Pennal – roedd y ddwy’n byw yn yr un cyfeiriad!

Bydd Jane hefyd yn sôn am sut aeth hi ati i ymchwilio’r stori, a bydd cyfle i gael sgwrs a holi cwestiynau wedyn.

‘When Minnie met Katie’ – A Reading Inspired by Aberration’s Peace Project Workshop

Writer and performer Jane Hoy presents a creative reading based on Aberration’s workshop with Norena Shopland, drawing on real lives and imagined encounters between women involved in historical peace campaigns.

Jane began this story at a Peace of Writing workshop at the National Library, Aberystwyth. Participants were enouraged to bring alive some of the women who signed the Peace Petition. Jane chose to write about two women from her home village of Pennal who shared the same address. Jane will also be talking about how she went about researching the story and there will be opportunities to chat and ask questions
