หนึ่งใน “สี่สุดยอดวรรณกรรมคลาสสิกของจีน” ที่เปี่ยมด้วยความงดงามทางภาษา ปรัชญา และอารมณ์ ความฝันในหอแดง (A Dream of Red Mansions) ผลงานของเฉาเสวี่ยฉินแห่งศตวรรษที่ 18 ได้รับการยกย่องว่าเป็น “กระจกสะท้อนสังคมจีนปลายราชวงศ์ชิง” ที่ลึกซึ้งและสะเทือนใจที่สุดเรื่องหนึ่งในประวัติศาสตร์ และยังคงครองใจผู้อ่านรุ่นแล้วรุ่นเล่า ถูกดัดแปลงมาแล้วในหลากหลายรูปแบบทั้งละครทีวี เวที งิ้ว และภาพยนตร์
ครั้งนี้ ความฝันในหอแดง ถูกตีความใหม่ในรูปแบบของบัลเลต์ตะวันตกโดยคณะ National Ballet of China คณะบัลเลต์ระดับแนวหน้าของเอเชีย ที่ถ่ายทอดวรรณกรรมอมตะ ผ่านภาษาการเคลื่อนไหวที่อ่อนช้อย ทรงพลัง และเปี่ยมอารมณ์ สะท้อนจิตวิญญาณของวัฒนธรรมจีนได้อย่างงดงาม
นี่คือการพบกันของสองวัฒนธรรม เมื่อเรื่องราวจีนโบราณซึ่งเต็มไปด้วยความรัก ความฝัน และความสูญเสียในตระกูล ถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านท่วงท่าของบัลเลต์คลาสสิก โดยนักเต้นกว่า 80 ชีวิต ประกอบฉาก แสง เครื่องแต่งกายอันวิจิตร ส่งตรงจากปักกิ่งกว่า 6 คอนเทนเนอร์

China’s premier classical dance company is so serious about storytelling, they are arriving in Bangkok with six 40-foot containers of costumes, sets and props to help 80 dancers bring the famous literary piece to life with perfect precision in an unforgettable historic performance. The director, composer and costume designer are all among the country’s most acclaimed–nothing less would do when bringing to life an iconic tale that is known and loved in every household across China.
You, too, will be moved by the tragic life of noble Jia Baoyu, who wants nothing of earthly fame and fortune only to marry his smart, beloved Lin Daiyu. The music is emotional, distinctive to each character, the choreography rich and influenced by fine arts and scholarly interpretations of this story. The result is an epic dreamscape: boundless, deep, expressive, authentically Chinese. A profound treatise on the very meaning of existence whose aesthetic beauty will stay with you long after the curtain drops.
